The Yin and Yang of Football

Football is all yin and yang. Part of the game is all straight lines and tightly timed. But the other part of the game is utter chaos. Sometimes it requires the brute force of a sumo wrestler but sometimes requires the finesse of a ballet dancer. Victory can be achieved with a kick-ass, one-foot play muscled up the middle or with a long graceful pass caught on the fingertips of someone running at breakneck speed. Perfect strategies come up against imperfect execution. The exact laws of physics against the inexact laws of human nature. It’s a formal waltz. It’s a demolition derby. Yin. Yang.
